We Thank God for Kelly Peters

Kelly Peters, has been our Children’s Minister since October 2023. Sadly she will be stepping down from her role at the end 2025. She will be starting a new job as the People and Safety Manager at Anglican Youthworks. Kelly has done an amazing job restructuring and refreshing our children’s ministries! She will still be part of our Menai Church family and plans to continue serving as part of the Children’s Ministry team! Kelly has been a huge blessing to our church and the children’s ministry. We continue to thank God for all her work, serving Jesus with a great team of leaders.

We are excited to be introducing a NEW Children’s Minister starting 2026!!

We are excited to welcome our next Children’s Minister, Lauren Dewhurst!

Raised in the Sutherland Shire, Lauren has been employed in Children’s Ministry for over 14 years: over 5 years at Jannali Anglican and 9 years at Christ Church St Ives. She studied a BTh from Moore College.  Lauren is passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus with kids in a fun and engaging way. She loves working with teams of leaders and partnering with parents. Lauren loves spending time with her 11 nieces and nephews, as well as finding refreshment in God’s creation. Please pray for her and our kids ministry.

Cat Shirtley coordinates our three weekly Playspace programs and Little Church on Sundays for children aged 0-5. She supports a dedicated team of wonderful volunteers to create Christ-centered, Bible-based programs, and environments that are fun, safe and nurturing – where our youngest members can build foundations of faith, and local families are warmly welcomed to explore Christian communit

MAC Kids is made possible by a faithful team of men and women, boys and girls who volunteer their time.

The team is varied in personalities, gifts, ages, and stages, but the one thing that unites us all is the gospel of our Lord Jesus and the deep desire to make Him known – especially to kids and families!

All our leaders have a Working with Children Check and a church Safe Ministry Certificate.
